Camellia (Camellia sasanqua, Camellia japonica)
Hardy in zone 7, 8, 9 and (with protection) in zone 6 - Prefers moist, well-drained, acid soil in partial shade - Natives of China, Japan, and SouthEast Asia with glorious elegant flowers of deep, bright, vivid colors and light fragrance. Displayed at Korean weddings as far back as 1200 BC, camellias represent longevity and faithfulness. Today, Camellia is the state flower of Alabama . Camellias are known as "The Queen of Ornamental Shrubs" for their flowers, blooming season, foliage, fragrance, and growth habit.

Tea Plant (Camellia sinensis)
The leaves of this plant is used to make many kinds of tea.

New growth (the few leaves at top of branches) are used to make green tea: dry them in the shade for half-day, then simmer in an uncovered pot for an hour.
