How do I choose when if I want to buy flowers for transplanting from retailers?
It is best to buy only healthy plants that are free of insects and diseases. Retailers often purchase from a wholesale grower instead of growing plants themselves.  The disadvantage may lie in the fact that some retailers are not plant experts and thus may not have the ability to properly care for plants. 

What is the use of mulch?
Mulch is applied after planting to keep the soil surface from crusting while reducing soil temperature, conserving moisture and preventing weed seed germination.

How are annuals groomed?
Most annuals require little additional care to keep them attractive and blooming all summer but some flowers would require deadheading.  Deadheading will encourage the plants to produce more flowers in an effort to produce seeds.
